She is widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of Internet and technology law and policy, playing a vital role in developing public policy and multistakeholder responses to emerging challenges and risks. She has led countless issue campaigns, negotiated landmark legislation and nurtured generations of talented leadership in the field.

Harris, the former President and CEO of the Center for Democracy & Technology, is currently a Senior Fellow at the Future of Privacy Forum and the Georgetown Institute For Technology, Law and Policy. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University's Master’s Programs in Communications, Culture and Technology and the Walsh School of Foreign Service.
